- This course introduces students to the use of information technology in a business environment. Students will learn how to use information technology in a work environment, perform electronic research, communicate electronically, and use common business software. They will also explore possible future occupations in information technology.
- This course gives students practical information about legal issues that directly affect their lives. Students will examine the need for laws in society, the roots of Canada's legal system, the rights and freedoms that people in Canada enjoy, and the basic elements of criminal law and dispute resolution. Through experiences such as mock trials, debates, and case studies, students will apply inquiry and communication skills to develop and express opinions on legal topics or interest to them.
- This course focuses on the development of leadership skills used in managing a successful business. Students will analyse the role of a leader in business, with a focus on decision making, management of group dynamics, workplace stress and conflict, motivation of employees, and planning. Effective business communication skills, ethics, and social responsibility are also emphasized.

As students explore the world of business and the opportunities and challenges that it presents, it is vital that they do so with an appreciation of the impact of the global marketplace and international trade.Through these courses, students will develop a fundamental understanding of the global economy.They will come to appreciate the impact that international business can have on their lives and communities today and on the careers and opportunities they are considering for the future.Through these courses, students will develop a broader and deeper understanding of international issues and concerns and begin to develop an informed awareness of those issues directly affecting their future careers.
